What exactly is organic farming?

Organic farming is a special agricultural way of growing and processing products while respecting natural life-cycle systems. The production of organic produce is focused on maintaining the ecosystem balanced by not including pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and or fertilizers that will have a negative impact on the products as well as the environment.

“Organically grown" food is food grown and processed using no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.

A good way of proving that a product is organic is by making sure that they are certified according to USDA  (U.S Department of Agriculture) regulations. The logo shows that organic products are produced according to the rules.

How is the organic integrity of a farm controlled?

An external Accredited Certification body visits the farms at least once a year for detailed audit and checks if the farm and operations fulfil the
applicable organic standards.

Do your products contain artificial additives or preservatives?

No, all out chips are crafted with care, free from artificial additives and preservatives.

Are your products vegan? Gluten-free? Paleo-friendly? Peanut-free?

Yes! All of our plantain chips are vegan, gluten-free, paleo-friendly and peanut-free. So go ahead, and grab those bags!

How do you cook your chips?

We cook low and slow and the temperature is automatically controlled.

Traditional chips (potato and plantains) are cooked using a rapid, high-heat frying process which accelerates the degradation of lipids, and also depleting the natural antioxidant contents of the oil.

By cooking low and slow, we maintain the stability of the oil’s healthy fats. It also allows to keep more nutritional value of the plantains. Furthermore the oil content in the chips is relatively lower with this process.
